STEM-to-STEAM Blogspot and Glogster Poster for students: a. Advocate and teach safe. legal, and ethical use of digital information and technology, including respect for copyright, intellectual property, and the appropriate documentation of sources.
The STEM-to-STEAM Blog that I developed as part of my verification process to be able to teach at Georgia Virtual Academy as well as the process of vetting and experiencing the TOOL MOOC made me extremely familiar with digital culture, digital citizenship and the importance of ethical behaviors in professional practices. I have taught and modeled the concepts that I have learned from this and other UWG experiences to my students. Two artifacts that provide evidence of my work are as follows: My Tool Mooc Blog post on digital citizenship and a Glogster poster that I developed for my students. I have put a screen shot of the Glogster Poster below.

STEM-to-STEAM BlogPost and EDMODO Student User Agreement: c. Promote and model digital etiquette and responsible social interactions related to the use of technology and information.
Promoting and modeling responsible social interactions and digital etiquette go hand in hand with good digital citizenship and cannot be separated. Many of the lessons taught in this regard are interwoven as well. The three main themes of "Respect, Educate, and Protect" are prevalent throughout the literature about and practices within good digital citizenship and excellent teacher modeling. My blog post on digital citizenship shares out the importance of modeling and teaching the principles while my Edmodo Student use Agreement impresses the principles upon students.

Reflection
Through faithful adherence to digital citizenship principles on the part of the teacher and close monitoring and correction of student activities, exemplary digital citizenship has become the standard of practice in my classroom community. I am very proud of my students as the collaborate to learn and keep each other on the "straight and narrow" when it comes to practicing exemplary digital citizenship online with their Google Forms and Google Docs and with Edmodo. Because of the student use policy (and letter to the parents), even parents have changed their online behavior in accordance to the principles of Digital Citizenship. Basically, why say it or post it unless it fits all of the following: True, Helpful, Inspiring, Necessary, and Kind. See it as a poster here: T.H.I.N.K.
